A very cold start, that didn’t start to warm up until after our coffee break in Burwell, after which it reached the dizzy heights of 6C! We welcomed a new rider – Jean – who is a friend of Derek. We had some unscheduled stops – 2 to add air to tyres, 1 to change inner tube and Mike had to use cooking oils borrowed from the pub to free a seized pedal!
