To ensure that we do not lose anybody during a ride, we suggest:
- at the start of each ride the designated leader should check each rider has a live mobile phone with them and has their number. Each rider should have the mobile number of the leader.
- if there are more than say 6 riders there is a designated back marker familiar with the route with the leaders number. The back marker MUST be carrying a live mobile phone. The back marker should be reconfirmed after each stop.
- before the ride starts, the leader should outline the route and identify the coffee/lunch stops
