For the record. I led the ride with Anne, Jo, Barney, Mal, John M, Simon & Terry, 35 miles. John & Terry cycled in from Cambridge and returned after lunch from Ashwell. Coffee stop at Mama’s Coffee Shop, Sandy (good selection of cakes and tasty coffee, even cater for gluten free & alternative Milk, 4 seats/2 tables outside but close to High Street) and lunch at the Rose & Crown, Ashwell (generous lunch, limited choice but good soup, large wholesome sandwiches & large plate of pub food at decent price. Service was more of a process than an art form)!
