Camrollers and the Asparagus Farm – 18 Apr 19

Leader: DerekS

Riders: Derek, Jo, Barney, Rob, Jim, Jean, Richard, Anne, Mike, Lewis, Gerko, Simon, Maggie, Rowland

Distance: 40.1 miles

Great turnout on a beautiful, warm, spring day. Derek had organised a visit to Cambridge Asparagus in Abington, where we learnt a little about the farm and all bought some (very fresh) asparagus. Then on to Balsham for coffee (where a few people left us). After coffee, we went to Ashdon, via Haverhill, taking in the countryside and perfume of the rape fields in full bloom.

Stops:

Coffee – Old Butchers Shop, Balsham

Lunch – Rose & Crown, Ashdon
